A modern photo laboratory must pump, mix and transfer large numbers of liquids. For safety and other reasons it is essential that all the systems are functioning correctly, or if not, that the laboratory's staff are alerted.

Rockwell Hitec photo lab alarms are liquid level alarms using conductivity sensors.

The sensors consist of 2 stainless steel electrodes which will detect the presence or absence of liquids. A level of change of 1-2 mm is sufficient to operate the alarms.

Several types of sensors are available. For storage tanks there are single and twin level sensors of various lengths up to 1 metre.

For precision level sensing of processing machine tanks, the sensors are mounted in a 16mm diameter x 100 mm long tube. Other sizes are available on request.

Other sensors such as float switches or isolated contacts can be used.

The sensors can be connected by up to 100 metres of cable to the control unit/indicator.
