Bottle Fillers

Bottle Fillers Increasing numbers of Minilabs, hospital X-ray departments and graphic arts establishments are using chemistry in "ready to use" form. The chemistry is prepared from concentrates and filled into plastic bottles at a central depot and delivered to the sites at frequent intervals.

Rockwell Hitec can supply the equipment for carrying out the work.

The chemistry is supplied as concentrates packed in 30, 60 or 210 litre drums and mixed using either HV3 or MM3 Mixer depending on the output required. The mixer solutions are pumped into storage tanks.

Depending on the particular needs the chemistry can then be handled in a number of ways: The simplest is to fill 5, 10 or 20 litre plastic bottles using Rockwell Hitec semi-automatic bottle fillers. These consist of a nozzle with level sensor and a pump connected to the lower outlet of the storage tank. The nozzle is placed in the neck of the empty bottle and the fill button on the filler control is pressed. The pump now runs, shutting off when the level in the bottle has reached the level sensor. Nozzles can be supplied for various types of bottle.

The fillers are easy to operate and provide good filling accuracy even for liquids with a tendency to foam. Fillers are available as single or multiple solution units, for example 6 or 7 solution units for Minilabs.

Where the "ready to use" chemistry service includes effluent disposal or re-use of containers Rockwell Hitec supply bottle washers. These empty the bottles containing the effluent by means of a suction pump, spray the inside of the bottles with a small quantity of water and again empty the bottles. Depending on the degree of cleanliness required this can be repeated several times.

If the containers are to be reused the bottle washer and filler are combined as in the Rockwell Hitec Microlab Support System. Please see separate brochure.
